Our Snake Identification and Snakebite Treatment course is registered with the Wits CPD Office and FGASA. (Field Guides Association of South Africa) as specialist courses.
The Snake Identification and Snakebite Treatment Course and Snake Handling Course is required for individuals who wish to apply for a catch and release permit in South African and also for those who wish to keep indigenous South African snakes, or for individual who have just started keeping snakes.
Our Snake Identification and Snakebite Treatment Course is recognised by WITS CPD Office, and on completion of our course you will receive your certificate which you forward to Wits to claim your 5 CPD points.

The Snake Identification and Snakebite Treatment course covers the following:
1. Identification of the dangerous and medical important snakes.
2. Symptoms and syndromes of snakebite.
3. First Aid
4. Medical Treatment.
5. Allergies and treatment.
The course starts at 08h00 - 14h00, and is run on the last Saturday of the month. You will have 2 tea breaks and 30 minutes lunch.
Our Snake Handling course is recognised by FGASA (Field Guides Association of South Africa) as specialist courses. This course and well as our Snake Identification and Snakebite Treatment Course is required for anybody that wants to keep indigenous South African snakes, or who have just started keeping snakes. This is applicable to residence of Gauteng Province, RSA.

Learn how to handle snakes correctly and safely and get hands-on experience under Mike's supervision.
